The Art of Balance is proud to have created a variety of classes to fit your physical needs and your schedule—some are new, others we’ve had fun and success with for years.

 

NO MATTER WHAT your fitness or comfort level, we have got something for you. We have created sessions that focus purely on mind-body mechanics and gamut leading all the way to fusion fitness which includes activities rooted in various dance categories.

 

A2

(0.5 hr class)
A class that gives you strength and tone in your upper torso: Biceps, triceps, deltoids, and of course abs are put to the test. This class is designed to prepare you for the sleeveless summer!

AB REHAB ™

(0.5 hr class)
The abdominal region is the most challenging hump to get over when you’re retraining the body—especially when you haven’t been using it for sometime, or if you’re post-pregnancy (C-sec. recovery or diastasis recti? don’t worry, there’s hope!) Getting in tune with the abdominal area takes time and patience. This half hour class focuses on all areas of the abdominal area to improve strength, posture and tone.

BALLET

On Hiatus

(1.5 hr class)
For those dance enthusiasts who prefer a more structured ballet class. Grace, poise, spinal alignment and lower body toning. This class uses the ballet barre.

BALLET BARRE BOOTCAMP

A ballet barre workout suited to all levels. This is a great lower body toner, with flexibility training as part of the offering. Perfect for both the dance enthusiasts and to those without experience. Learn something new; lengthen and strengthen your body at the same time.

Body Balance ™

BB focuses on strengthening and relaxing the body.
A creative fusion of pilates, yoga, and dance conditioning. This Mind/Body combo will increase your range of motion, and tone and strengthen muscle & bone. It will also improve core strength while bringing awareness to postural alignment. This is a complete body workout with inspiring music. Feel relaxed, revived and taller.
TO BRING: Mat, tights.

Body BalLICIOUS

A Hi-Lo cardio class with full body toning. This workout tests balance, stability, agility, coordination, spinal alignment and abdominal strength. Get ready to sweat! This class uses the Thera ball, Thera band, balls, and light weights.
TO BRING: Mat and a good sense of humour.

FEEL THE VIBE ™

With hip-hop, dancehall, soca, house and street jazz, this is the funkiest class you will ever take! Feel alive and free by just letting your body move. Groove to the latest club tunes and have an amazing fun cardio workout! This class will get the heart pumping, and the choreography will stimulate your nervous system. The experience is twice the fun with a friend.

JAM•BALAYA

A fun hi/lo class that mixes all your favorites! Tone your upper and lower torso with elements of 'TABB Special', 'Strength', 'Tab•O•Lean', 'Body Ballicious' and then even a little 'Rage'.

JAZZZ

(1.5 hr class)
If you love to dance then this is for you. Yes, this is the jazz class you remember: warm up, progressions and choreography. In this class you will experience the fitness regimen of a dancer. Tone your body and stimulate your nervous system. Come see how professional dancers get fit.

KidTASTIC!

For ages 3-8

Yoga, fitness games, trampoline and dance conditioning, all in one super-fun package!

Each class focuses on balance, flexibility, rhythm, coordination, strength, and relaxation. The purpose is to encourage little bodies to boost their fitness levels, develop important motor skills and foster positive body images. These skills are transferable to any other sport or physical activity.

LEG-XURIOUS

This 1/2 hr class is designed to help strengthen and lengthen the lower half of the body. It is dedicated to improving balance, core strength and tone in an area that, for many, can be challenging. We work abs, calfs, quads, hamstrings, glutes and more!

 THE LOOP ™

TAB's own High Intensity Interval Training. Includes timed movements involving cardio, weight conditioning, balance, and agility. Compete with yourself as you improve your fitness levels. What workout!

MOJO

Designed to get you going again, TAB Mojo is a gentler approach to fitness.

Work towards improve core strength, cardiovascular stamina and weight loss without fear. Think also of the neurological, emotional and social benefits of getting out and getting going. Put yourself in an environment where others of like mind participate. Have fun and prepare for a comeback!

PURE PILATES

Pilates mat work done the original way. Athletic, purposeful, and alignment-focused. Develop long, lean muscle, improve your posture and strengthen your core.

Pilates challenges the individual by reeducating the body to perform regular tasks with new body awareness.

ROAD RAGE RELEASE!

An exciting Cardio workout utilizing martial arts, boxing, muscular and dance conditioning. Give yourself the chance to let off steam and add a jolt to the ol’ kicker. Release that pent up negative energy that can lead to tension in the muscles and organs that can cause strain and stress on the body over time. It's a fun way to let go—even when you are not having a bad day. Come, have fun, feel strong and empowered, then get on with your day.

STRENGTH!

Toning designed to shape, shift and move the body. Learn how to strengthen your body in a functional way, using integrated muscle movements. Your upper and lower body will be put through their paces to test strength, endurance, coordination and even balance. This class uses light weights, stability ball, tubing, wobble boards, tenacity.

TAB•O•LEAN ™

The Trampoline Class!

An exciting new workout that will have you jumping for joy. Rebounding devices have been used for years as a way to stimulate the lymphatic system to release toxins. And high impact movement is also absorbed by the rebounding apparatus. You won't stop smiling during this great cardio and amazing toning class. The body feels so alive afterwards.

TABB Special

(Thighs-Abs-Back-&-Booty)

This class focuses on the powerhouse­: abs, back, thighs and booty—where the body gets its internal strength from. Core training is designed to improve imbalances in the abdominal wall, and to assist in overall posture. The class will help improve the general strength and function of this challenging area. And the bonus: with strong thighs, legs and booty, we look good from behind. This class uses tubing, balls and light weights.

TABBIE TWEENS

Each week tween girls (8-14yrs) will experience one of TAB's popular classes. We'll also talk about healthy eating and body image. Our hope is to instill good habits that will continue into adulthood. Not to mention, body awareness will with other activities your tween may already be participating in.

TONE WITH TAP

give your heart a little love at the same time. Come lighten your spirit, tone your legs, exercise your nervous system and feel great afterwards. This is a beginner level class so don't be afraid! Whether you have skills or not this class promises to be fun. This is even a great class for the golden among us.

TO BRING: Just clean running shoes or character shoes until we establish a regular class

Triple-R

Rest Relax Release

A gentle class comprised of restorative yoga postures, Pilates and dance conditioning cool-down, plus other muscle release techniques. This will provide the body ith an opportunity to restore balance and release tension. The meditation will help you relax, and refocus. A great class before bed! This class uses small balls and Therabands.

Join us for one of the world’s oldest fitness philosophies. Reduce stress, improve your immune system, and tone and strengthen your muscles.

PRAM-TASTIC

A fitness class with the stroller, tubing and a great cardio component. Perfect for the new mom wanting to get back into shape and train outdoors with baby.
Why not make the nap time walk useful for you too? Babe gets to sleep, and you get an opportunity to burn calories and share stories with other new moms.
Carriers/slings are also welcome.

MAMA TONE

This class is designed to help the pre-natal woman strengthen her body and prep for labour. Keep in mind all of the suggestions from Health Canada, being healthy and strong during the pregnancy is beneficial for both mom and baby. Class is split between a cardio and toning session.

MAMA RELAX

This class is designed for the pregnant woman to gently stretch and de-stress. The class uses yoga, Pilates, and dance conditioning.
