TAB FITNESS. You're always welcome!
It feels so great to be outdoors! It is also the official beginning of summer vacation. This is the time to get out and bike, run, swim, skip and just play with the kids. Our kids will participate in physical activity if they are given good examples. Summer is the best time to put that physical foot forward: help your little ones develop healthy habits.

To balance all the activities, remember the importance of rest and remember why having vacation is important. The beauty of rest and relaxation does not just apply to the mind, but body as well. Find different classes like Body Balance, Pilates and Triple R to stimulate different muscles and give the body the rest it needs.

A small suggestion but an important one. The schedule at TAB is designed to give clients an opportunity to have a well-balanced workout throughout the week. You are able to experience muscular conditioning, balance, flexibility, cardio training and relaxation all in 6 days, all in one space. Take advantage!


Clients often ask, "how can I tone my arms?". This was the inspiration behind A2—a class that concentrates on this highly visible area.

Training the upper torso—especially for women—can be challenging. Unlike our male counterparts, womens' bodies are designed
for childbearing and have a much better time with the intensity of lower body training.

This does not mean women can't train the upper body, it simply means upper body work should be combined with the thought of using the centre. There is nothing more empowering than to be able to hold your own body weight or to lift something with ease.

When you use your arms, understand that the movement begins from your center and then lengthens away from your body. This lets you lift more and do more reps. To build lean, long arm muscles, lighter weights and more reps will give you that tone.

A2 is designed to focus on the connection between arm movements and the abdominal wall.
Apply these methodologies to exercises in class and regular daily activities too!

LegXurious debut had an amazing turnout and joins the schedule as regular class this month! Looking to challenge the legs in a different way? This class is definitely for you!


Sweet Summer Savings!
Interested? As you are no-doubt aware, feeling strong is one way to feel more confident as you move through life, but knowing what to do with that strength at the right moments can potentially save your life.

This is where Mark comes in. Mark Simon—a good friend of 25 years—is a triple black belt, and we'd like to have him come to TAB to teach a self defence workshop.

If there is enough interest we would like to hold the workshop in August. Please register ASAP. The cost of the 2hr workshop will be $35
