TAB EMAIL Vol 3. Issue 10
TAB FITNESS. You're always welcome!

TIME TO BE GRACIOUS, time to be giving.

I was standing outside of No Frills with bags in tow, trying to find a quarter for a cart. Someone was standing closeby and saw me hunting. This lovely stranger then reached over with her quarter and said, "let me help you". She refused my offer to pay her back. I was so touched, I uttered about a thousand thank-yous. On that day, for me to encounter such a woman, was perfectly timed. Just when I felt that people were starting to forget about others, it restored my faith in my fellow man. It shows you there are people who see beyond there own needs and wants and take the time to help others.

If you receive a blessing this month pay it forward. It feels amazing!

Let this Thanksgiving be one that surrounds you with the love of family and friends. Let this time of year give you an opportunity to look at yourself and your personal accomplishments. Be grateful for the opportunities and blessings you have received in your life.

My challenge for you this month is not a physical one, but a community one. If you receive a blessing, consider paying it forward.

Two years ago one of the most exhilarating classes at TAB was born! It has since been featured on Global TV and has grown a diehard following of TABBIES who believe in the power of the bounce.

TAB.O.LEAN’s many benefits include:

Injury prevention
Rebounding apparati help strengthen the back and core musculature. Plus the rebounders reduce impact forces by 80%!

Muscles, Bones, and Joints Acceleration and deceleration strengthens and lengthens muscles and joints. Jumping increases bone density and decreases risk of fracture.

Lymphatic System

Rebounding is a great way to stimulate the lymphatic system and strengthen immunity. The gravitational pull experienced while jumping is key to releasing toxins from this area.

Balance and Coordination
Becoming aware of one’s centre of gravity is essential for the trampoline. The rebounder flexes in all directions, so one’s centre is challenged leading to improved balance, posture and coordination.

Weight Loss
The cardiovascular benefits are endless! This class provides afterburn: Calories are still being burned even when your class is over.

The Nervous System
As with every class at TAB, we will try to get you out of autopilot and get you thinking more about what you are doing with your body during activity. TAB.O.LEAN, is definitely not an acception.

You will definitely need your pelvic floor muscles during this work out. Gravity challenges these muscles on the way down. Rebounding on the trampoline can actually help strengthen these muscles.

Stress Relief and Fun!

Doing something that is fun and positive can’t thelp but have an amazing effect on your overall wellbeing. The jumping does take you back to when you were young. You feel so alive afterwards.

If this interests you check out the 1/2hr fundamental drop in classes being offered a this month!

A Healthy Recipe by Judith Kaufman

Go Judith!
Life-Changing Loaf of Bread

"Great with jam and old cheddar!"

1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup hazelnuts or almonds (may want to rough chop)
1.5 cups rolled oats
2 tbsp. chia seeds
4 tbsp. psyllium seed husks
(3 tbsp. if using psyllium husk powder)
1 tsp. fine grain sea salt
1 tbsp. maple syrup
(for sugar-free diets, use a pinch of stevia)
3 Tbsp. coconut oil or ghee, melted
1 cups water

Makes 1 loaf

In a loaf pan, combine all dry ingredients. Whisk maple syrup, oil and water together in a separate bowl. Add mixture to the dry ingredients and combine until everything is completely soaked and dough becomes very thick, adding 1-2 teaspoons water if dough is too thick to stir. Smooth top and let sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Bake bread for 20 minutes, then remove bread from loaf pan, place it upside down, directly on a rack, and bake for another 30-40 minutes (it should sound hollow when tapped). Let cool completely before slicing.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
