TAB EMAIL Vol 3. Issue 9
TAB FITNESS. You're always welcome!
Looking for the inspiration to return to a regular fitness routine?

Physical activity can lengthen your lifespan, improve your quality of life and your mood. It’s great preventative medicine and helps improve the function of all of the necessary systems that run your body. Importantly, exercise helps you to sleep better. And one other thing: it’s fun! And fun activities make us happy don't they? Put the mo back in your mojo!

A strong, healthy body is within reach for anyone.

If you are new to muscular conditioning, have had an injury at some point or are just late getting started, this is your class!
Sometimes we make the decision to get up and get active (a noble, noble thing by the way), only to find that you don’t know where to begin, or we overdo it on the first try and frighten ourselves.

Tab Mojo is a class that takes a gentle approach. It covers cardio, muscular conditioning core strength and balance, all in one class. It’s designed to get you going again!

A great start to build confidence in your body's strengths, but gentle enough to keep you coming back for more. If you have been waiting to start an exercise program and have been afraid to try, this is your class.

Balance Break

Judith Kaufman
A Healthy Recipe by Judith Kaufman

Go Judith!
Zucchini Cilantro Soup

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
  red chili flakes
3/4 pound zucchini, scrubbed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1.5 cups chicken broth
1.25 cups water
1.5 cups chopped fresh coriander
  Corn kernels
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, or to taste ( use more plus rind)
  can add feta when serving

In a large saucepan cook the onion in the oil over moderately low heat, stirring until it is softened, add the zucchini and salt and pepper and chili flakes to taste, and cook the mixture, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add the broth and 1 1/4 cups water and simmer the mixture, covered, for 15-20 minutes, or until the zucchini is tender. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the coriander. Using an immersion blender blend the soup Until smooth. Stir in the lemon juice and rind, season the soup with salt and pepper, and serve it at room temperature or chilled.

(also good to stir in corn kernels at the end, especially if they are cut off the cob after roasting, if not then put frozen corn in a dry cast iron skillet and brown a bit before adding to pureed soup. I also use lemon rind and more lemon juice. Can too with feta)
