A2 focuses on connecting the abdominal wall with your arm movements. We overuse our shoulders everyday and this can lead to injuries or loss of range of motion. To avoid this, A2 teaches proper placement for the arms and also focuses on strengthening the core.












FREE CLASSES IN FEB!

This month all new clientele can try classes for FREE from Feb 1–28
(you must still RSVP for a class—space is limited).

For our regular clientele: bring a friend and earn yourself a free class. Bring 5 friends and you've earned yourself a card of five. If that friend purchases a card for themselves you've just earned another five!

February tends to be the month where we hibernate – give yourself an extra dose of love and come to class!

Not only will TAB Mojo be happening, A2, Half-Hour Strength and Ab Rehab Level 1 will appear this month as well!

This class will focus on core strengthening as well as quick touch ups to those extremities. If you feel you have no time to fit it in and you are usually up reading the paper, having a coffee, or watching the news, come join us in-studio on TUESDAY mornings!

A half-hour wake up may be what you need to start your day off right!

Come on Mondays at 6:45 pm to help you feel strong and alive during your pregnancy. This gentle conditioning class is a great way to work on postural alignment and give you an opportunity to connect with other pregnant mamas.

The New Yoga Pot
A recipe by Judith Kaufman
adapted from- www.greenkitchenstories.com


1 tbsp cold pressed coconut oil, ghee or olive oil
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp fresh ginger, finely chopped or 1 tsp ground
1 tsp ground tumeric
1 pinch ground cayenne pepper or more to taste (chili flakes would be better)
3.5 cups / 800 ml canned diced tomatoes
1/2 cup / 125 ml uncooked red lentils, rinsed
2 cups / 500 ml water
1 tsp coarse sea salt
1/2 broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cauliflower cut into bite-size pieces
1 zucchini, cut into bite-size pieces
1 handful green beans cut into thirds
1 can white beans, drained and rinsed
   
   
  DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in a large saucepan and add chopped onion and garlic.

Lower the heat and cook for a few minutes until the onions have softened.

Add ginger, turmeric, cayenne and stir, ensuring that they do not burn.

When the spices smell fragrant, add tomatoes, lentils, water and salt.

Cover and simmer for 15 -20 minutes.

Stir in all the vegetables and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

Add the cooked beans toward the end of the cooking time.

Check cauliflower and broccoli for desired tenderness.

Serve in bowls with a dollop of yogurt and fresh coriander/cilantro.

This dish can be served over brown, black or red rice.

For serving:
fresh coriander/cilantro, chopped plain yogurt
