This month we honour the women who have made our lives so special.

Thank you to my special mom who has always made me feel my contribution to the world would be valued and needed. That ongoing encouragement helps me to do better to help you feel better. My mom taught me by example—dedicate your life to help other lives. As a nurse, my mom spent most of her life caring for other people—it's just how she lives her life. My job also gives me the opportunity to care for and encourage others.

Using your life to help others will improve the lives of others in your community. When you have healthy communities you then have healthy neighbourhoods. Healthy neighbourhoods, create great citys and so on.

One simple idea from my mother could affect the general health of our community.

This month tell the women in your lives that they have made a difference.

After having a baby a mom can feel pretty shut in and overwhelmed by all of the new responsibilities. How do you keep being an awesome mom and begin to get yourself back into the real world?

Pramtastic is a great opportunity for you to work-out with the baby and other new moms in the neighbourhood. By taking advantage of the outdoors, participants can bring the stroller and watch their child nap while they work on feeling stronger.

Feel reenergized by a workout
along the Humber River! This workout includes cardio, muscle conditioning, core strengthening and stretching. If you are looking for an opportunity to workout with other new moms this is for you!

Bring a mat, running shoes, something for bab
y to play with (just in case). A carrier is also advisable.

Mother's Day High Tea:
We will be postponing the tea this year and will try to have a fun event like this in June. We do want to wish all our mommies out there a wonderful day. You are amazing!

There are so many inspiring people who walk through the doors at TAB. We want you to share why you've decided to get moving and what classes you like best.

Do not be surprised if Rhonda approaches you. Your accomplishments, no matter how small, should be celebrated and we would like to do that!

Come on Mondays at 6:45 pm to help you feel strong and alive during your pregnancy. This gentle conditioning class is a great way to work on postural alignment and give you an opportunity to connect with other pregnant mamas.

This class will focus on core strengthening as well as quick touch ups to those extremities. If you feel you have no time to fit it in and you are usually up reading the paper, having a coffee, or watching the news, come join us in-studio on TUESDAY mornings!

Explaining the RSVP system

The RSVP system at TAB works like this: On the day of the class you'd like to take, send an RSVP to attend. Your text or email will be returned before 6pm. Don't panic if you don't get a reply right away. We could be wrapped up with another task. If you don't get a response after a reasonable period of time, go ahead and resend your request.

To get a confirmation and to get into class it is advised to send your text or email before 6pm. If you have not sent an RSVP there is no guarantee you will be admitted into class. Class sizes are limited to ensure you get the best class possible. Thank you for your help with this. You guys rock!

Mango Ginger Salsa
A recipe chosen by Judith Kaufman

1 mango
1/2 red onion
1 avocado
3 Roma tomatoes
  Juice of 1 lime
1 jalapeno pepper seeded and chopped
1 tbsp minced ginger root
1 tsp kosher salt
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
This can be served with grilled salmon or pork, fish or shrimp tacos or as appetizer with tortilla chips. You can add black beans rinsed and drained or cooked edamame.
